  1. Hi there Liyah,

Well done on completing another Summer Learning Journey blog post. You are doing really well so far.

What a fantastic poster you have created! The contrast in colours really help to make it stand out. I love how much detail you have put in to describe both sides of your family.

Whereabouts in America did your dad live? Have you been to America before?

Until next time, happy blogging :)

  2. Kia Ora Liyah!
This is such a great poster! I really like how you included a really nice cursive title on the top. It looks really professional and very tidy. It is quite easy to read as well!

In my culture, it is also very polite to take shoes off inside, it also keeps the house tidy as well as being respectful to the family hosting. My family on my dads side are all from Invercargill too! Most of them moved to Christchurch though. Have you ever been to Invercargill? My mothers side of the family are all from Malaysia which is in Southeast Asia. But my Mum moved with my older brother 25 years ago.

I really like how you made a poster instead of just writing words on a blog post. The nice blue colours really drew my eyes to the post. Next time, do you think you could include some photos? Maybe you could put a photo of your family on the poster? It would definitely draw more people to it. But if you use images from the internet, make sure that you use photos labelled for reuse or credit the author of the photos.

You have done an awesome job and I hope to see a reply from you soon!
    Keep up the amazing work,
    - Nadia :)
